1tr18_234 Walmer Castle, Deal Kent. This is a poor quality negative and it was difficult to identify the location, which has not been confirmed. Based on what looks like curved castle walls I felt this was likely to be a Device or Henrician Fort and the presence of chimneys on the castle narrowed the options down to Walmer Castle. This photo was probably taken from the gardens.
